Robert P. Casey, Sr. (1932–2000)

Governor of Pennsylvania

Born in Queens, New York, Casey grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was elected governor of Pennsylvania in 1986 and served until 1995. Casey was at the center of a notorious controversy in 1992, when he was denied the opportunity to address the Democratic Convention because of his pro-life views.
