Ralph McInerny (1929–1910)

Philosopher, Fiction Author

A native of Minneapolis, McInerny obtained degrees in philosophy from the University of Minnesota and Laval University (Quebec). After a year at Creighton University, he moved to the University of Notre Dame, where he remained for the rest of his career. A well-known Thomist, he was also a successful author of mystery fiction, including the popular Fr. Dowling series.
