Father Charles Watters (1927–1967)

Chaplain

A native of Jersey City, Watters was ordained a priest in 1953. In 1965, he was assigned to the Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade. He died in battle during the Vietnam War and was posthumously awarded a Congressional Medal of Honor for his bravery and dedication to the troops in his unit.
