Father Andrew White, SJ (1579–1656)
"Apostle of Maryland"
An English Jesuit, White promoted the settlement of the first British Catholic colony in America and accompanied the Ark and the Dove on their venture. When Protestant settlers took control of Maryland, White was removed to England, where he died twelve years later.
