Christian Brothers arrive in United States
1846
Three brothers from France established in Baltimore the first house for Brothers of the Christian Schools in the United States. Foundations were shortly thereafter made at New York and St. Louis, and soon primary, secondary, and tertiary schools run by Christian Brothers could be found across the nation.
