Vincentian Father Stephen Dunker led the organization of a group of Catholics whose goal was to alert fellow Catholics to the evils of Communism. Other founding members were Eleanor Schlafly, Phyllis Schlafly, and Kay Dougherty. Named after Hungarian cardinal Josef Mindszenty, the foundation's main activities were publishing a newsletter and sponsoring conferences.
